Competent (IELTS 6 each) is required but scores 0. Proficient is 7 each (10 points). Superior is 8 each (20 points). The lowest of the four skills sets the level.

Partner skills

Single applicants, or those whose partner is an Australian citizen or permanent resident, receive 10.

Nomination

Subclass 189 has no nomination points. 190 state nomination is 5. 491 regional nomination or family sponsorship is 15.
